1972 Datsun 1200 KB110 2 Door Coupe

Original 81,226 Miles (130,720 Kilometers).

I bought this car off a 61 year old bloke in the country town of sale. I had full intentions on keeping it forever but unfortunately something major has come up in the family and this has to be the first to go. An extremely regretful sale. Car is unique in every way and you will not find another like it again for a very long time. Everything has been done properly. Previous owner used to build engines for Bathurst cars back in the day and had a lot of attention to detail. Car has to be seen in person and driven to fully appreciate it. Not much left to do...interior could use a work over. Other than that, nearly everything is perfect.

The car was Roadworthied on 28/10/11 and needing nothing. I believe if the new buyer purchases before 28/11/11, they should NOT require another RWC. Car is registered until 02/04/12.

I serviced the car on the same day as the RWC including all new premium oils and filters. Car starts first time, every time and is a ball to drive. Engine is very high revving and the performance is impressive for such a small engine.

Engine
Rebuilt A15 including new rings, bearings, welsh plugs, water pump and all new gaskets. Engine balanced and bored 1mm with matching flat top pistons. Modified oval port head including resurfacing, valves lapped and valve stem seals replaced. Standard valve springs. GX Twin Carbs including GENUINE GX TWIN CHOKE CABLE (WORTH A PRETTY PENNY)

Cam Specs -.326 Inlet .326 Exhaust . Exhaust opens at 77 degrees and closes at 42 degrees Inlet opens at 42 degrees closes at 77 degrees. Exhaust duration is 243 degrees. Inlet duration is 243 degrees. Inlet lobe lift @ TDC on the overlap .106 degrees.
Compression ratio is approx 10 to 1 plus.

Transmission
A60 Series 5 Speed (Typical 5 Speed pattern...NOT DOG LEG). Clutch & Flywheel Standard.

Suspension
Front - 1984 TRX Bluebird shortened struts with Camira inserts (1 deg Negative Camber), Rebuilt front end.
Rear - Standard Leaf Springs, Heavy Duty Shockers.

Brakes
FRONT & REAR '84 TRX Bluebird Discs and Callipers. '84 TRX Bluebird Master Cylinder and Datsun 120Y Brake Booster.

Diff
Datsun 1200 Ute Housing with '84 TRX Bluebird center 3.89 Gear Ratio.

Other
14” Alloys. GENUINE ORIGINAL GX BONNET (Any Datsun enthusiast knows what these are worth), GX Stripes and GX Analogue Clock.
