They go straight into the firewall on a 1200 or 120y
they seem to suit a speedway car or something else
as they are very different to the usual ones which
exit just after the engine mounts.

They look unusual???? they look like a set of genie extractors.

Nothing unusual about those.

If you want to see some unusual A-series extractors then these, my friend, are unusual:

WTF

Speedway (moreso minisprint) extractors tend to kick way out and don't sweep across like the typical conventional car ones.

Those WTF extractors are a classic display of not knowing what you have in the shed. There is no way they would fit any datsun engine. The first thing you notice is that they are for a crossflow engine. Hmmm. Looks like his mate from the pub was wrong. Best sink a few more schooners and decide what else it might have come from. My guess. Something FWD the way the exit is straight down.
