got my car running and back on the road now, and i've noticed that it makes a vibrating/shaking noise when it gets to about 60-80km's when i release the pedal, do you think that this could be due to the tailshaft being too short???

Could be could be we could answer your questions more accurately if you answered ours.

What tail shaft are you using- length etc, what diff do you have??
Dies the car accelerate with no wobble- only on deceleration? Did you get the angles right from gear box to diff? Are the unis ok in your tail shaft?

ok sorry for the whole delay, just been really busy, the tailshaft is 1250mm LONG, needs to be 1290 to be hard up against the gearbox, the diff is a h150, went to the wreckers to find an auto diff for it but the only one they had in auto was a borg warner, where abouts in sydney can i get it lengthened or does anyone know anywhere that has datsuns besides smithfield jap wrekcers, cheers

Dion

So you didn't want the be that the wreckers had ? They are a heap stronger than a h150 and bolt straight in ,and if you getting your tailshaft lengthened you could swap the flanges at the same time

well after reading up a bit and going off what the guy who put it together told me, he apparently swapped the bellhousing off a #OOPS#ed 60A onto a stanza box.
