Sure you could do all that cool stff with the L26, but why not save the trouble and weight and do a VG30? You get more power and torque and less weight and it fits
with MANY fewer modifications?

2.6 liters in a 1200 would be cool ,but why not 3.0L if it's less work? I know of a 1200 ute with a VG30 and it fits really well!

I got my dash recovered by Boss Trim in Penrith, for AUS$185. looks great and the insert still fits pretty well. that was done 2 and
a half years ago.
