Hi guys Im happy to say the datto is back home. I cant believe the service from a local panel shop I saw them 2 weeks ago about doing work he said yeah just drop it in when your ready. I droped it of monday lunch time it was delivered back here today all finished !!! rust repaired, holes filed, dents fixed and primed up. All for $250!!!
Ive finished the front brake conversion im much happier now without big spacers ect just a bit of machine work. Roll cage is sitting in bits ready for some welding ect. Ill post some pics.
Cheers Andrew

Hey CA18DET_MAN thats good news...Its sooo hard to find a good tradesman and when you do find them they usually charge like a wounded bull!!
By the way I spoke to someone who knows the IPRA rules back to front and he said you cant run bigger than a 14" wheel. Are you still going to race in IPRA?

The update with my coupe is that the roll cage is now in and I just need to weld the front and rear stays on the plates.
Im off to Noltec now to see what they can do with my handling setup. Greg seems good on the phone but I know John Taylor does a top job too.
PS...
Did you get the deposit OK and was the outstanding balance $164?? If so I'll have it in your account on Tuesday.

My understanding about the wheel size rule for IPRA is the profile of the tyre not the diameter of the RIM.......

that's absolutely amazing service and price from a panel beater!

That's right Benny, min tyre profile is 60 series. The only restrictions on rims are related to width, not diametre. 7" max for under 3000cc cars, and 8" max for over 3000cc.

harry's right, the rules apply to width only for ipra, not diameter.they (john boston,no less) tried this on me in 1991,& it wasn't successful then either.if you're still worried, the person to see is the series scrutineer, who has the final say on what's legal & what's not.
