Hi, I have just bought a 1200 coupe as a project, and whilst looking thru the
car found the cover page from the original service and warranty book. It says
that the car was delivered on 7/9/71 from a company called "McGain Bros." 1240
Nepean Hwy, Cheltenham, VIC. I am wondering if anyone knew or worked at this place. I
would dearly like to trace the history of the car.

That might have been the official name of Datsun Distributors in Cheltenham. They took delivery of them off the boat and prepped the new Datsuns for the dealerships.

My dad used to prep datsun at Duncan nissan in katanning :) it's handy because he knows the car pretty well :)
