I used a water based poly-urethane to seal some furniture I made with second hand floor boards. It's a floor coating and was easy to clean up. Going ok for what I used it on but I don't drive on the furnature (yet). You don't need a respirator either, doesn't smell or give off fumes. I got it from Bunnings, about 100 for 4L

I was thinking of using the Epirez brand. I saw contractors using it at work.

They do a water based epoxy too.

i dont know how many sqr mtrs you gotta do but 1hr pot life isn't great you'll be struggling to apply it after about 40 mins even with 10% thinners. i used some dulux luxa floor (similar specs to what you posted) just before xmas and at the 45 min mark it was like trying to apply super glue

We used all white knight products Oil based heavy duty floor sealer needed near 15 litres to do 2 coats on my shed floor. So got 2 10 litre tins we used the etching solution first basically just hydrochloric acid then hit it. We also added the grip sand stuff to the first coat still gotta put a second coat on the front half without the grip sand in the paint for better adhesion. Will upload a pic i took on me phone later.

A couple of pics of the finished floor.Open in new window

I fixed the cracks in the floor by grinding them wider and filling them with body filler. The epoxy i used didnt need any primer and gave me plenty of time to get it down before it started to cure. I could walk on it after 24hrs.
I`m very happy with the product so far. $420 for a 20kg kit delivered to the door. I`ll have to see how it stands up after a few years of abuse!
