For people's info I was running 190lb springs with 180mm free length, upgraded to 250lb 200mm free length.

The sprung perch is set lower with the new springs but car doesn't sit lower due to stiffer rate and longer free length. It also doesn't bottom out, it did if I set it too low with 190lb springs but x member was at 105mm from ground

Oh it also handles better at 140mm than it did at 105mm even though it doesn't look "fully sick"

Shocks are also important, cheap Gabriel's off eBay were well suited to 190lb konis suit the 250lb

That right so it depends on total out come to suit your setup! Ie mik says 200mm 250pound springs with konis,
I'll be running 200mm 225pound and bilstine inserts ect
Now the setup in my car has 175pound springs with bilstine shocks but was built for rally!
So depends 100% on application! Race, street, hot street, rally, or what we can afford! :)
The more ppl buy the cheaper it gets as per normal! I'm looking into selling on eBay but not at the price offered to 1200.com

Probably handles better at 140 as you have ths suspension bak in its working range. Have you modified the lower control arm with the spacer between the strut and the balljoint/steering arm?

No spacer not needed at 140mm as the lca not past horizontal. Still has movement in the arc. And with 250 springs it doesn't compress as far.

hi "unfimilia" you do realize that by changing the ride height you are also changing the roll center height this could be why the handeling results are changing so much, the spacers are to get the roll center in the right place and also run the lower ride height . there is a lot of geometry change in 40mm of static ride height.

Hi wards, yeah I realize that and that's why went to a ride height where RCA were not required and handling dynamics to front end improved immensely.
I understand the theory in laymans terms, but I'm no engineer so take in others advice and experience.

Might look good being low but handling is more important
