Hey guys,
I'm looking for photos and/or information on Datsun 1200 optional Air Conditioning.
I've found a small amount of info and some pics showing the interior vent arrangement, what I'm more after is the set up in the engine bay. I am lead to beleive that the small square section in the apron/under the rad support (to the left of the radiator) is used as the location for the optioned A/C, hence it's located with only four small tabs for easy removal..??
Can anyone shed light/info/pics?
Much appreciated!
Myles.

Thanks mate, have looked through them already though.
There is ONE picture taken from the front of the bay that shows the top of the pipework and radiator style piece, this is what I need more shots of as it doesnt actually show the apron and if the square panel is still there or has been removed.
Anyone able to find anything?

Take a look at the factory diagrams posted there. I don't know of any photos showing that detail.
Yes, dealer-installed AC (and later factory AC) removed the square panel for cooling the core.

Have seen diagrams but need photo evidence to prove this panel is removed for AC option.
Anyone able to find pics or factory information in Owners Manual or Accessories booklet..??

my mrs car has factory (dealer fitted) air fully operational, pretty sure that panel is not removed and there is nothing to do with the air con there, can take all the pics you like, check her build thread for the already existing photos (but i cant remember if any show what your after)

just looked at the wiki, it shows the usa ones mounted the condenser next to the rad, so they obviously had that rad support cut out, the one in my mrs car has condenser in front of rad and it is not cut out
so you doing aussie or USA style install?

My bet is that the IPRA race car is struggling with cooling and he needs to be able to prove that the panel is a removeable option and therefore can be removed for extra cooling airflow??

south african utes (bakkie) have a larger radiator and larger opening in the radiator support panel.
maybe try and get a radiator support from one if you need more airflow.
