Hi folks
has anyone know how to remove small dents from the chrome bumpers on my 1000. A friend of a freind pushed my out of a carve pit when my thrust bearing came off the fork. He of course has a wb ute with a steel bar. Only small dents thou, but would be nice to remove em. any ideas??

This isn't great advice.
But when I got my rear bear straightened and rechromed, it cost about $320. But it's come back like a brand new one. Fantastic Job. If you can find a place that does autoparts rechroming maybe they have a guy that is good at fixing dents. Most of the time though it needs some filing of really small dents and will mean it will need a rechrome. Keep it in mind. But there has to be a cheaper way. Chris

Take em to Ultrachrome, they are pretty good from all the experiences ive had with em. they do repairs before they rechrome but its pretty expensive.

I had some overriders repaired and rechromed and believe me one of them was I thought totally knackered but came back looking like new and I was happy to pay the over the top bill.

damn it....
it all sounds expensive. I think the bumpers will have to wait till next time. New straight bumpers would be nice though. You can view topic.
