That's great! How do you like driving the 610. Is it the L20B engine?
610 and 710 have nearly the same engine, they even use the same manifolds.
610 was made for the Datsun dealers, and 710 was made for the Nissan dealers in Japan. (610 was sold in Japan as the Datsun Bluebird-U, while 710 was sold as the Nissan Violet). That's why they are so similar, good old badge-engineering.

Well the 610 motor has a dry port u67, the 710 had a wet port n58. But the l20b runs great, the pan has alittle extra clearence but ither than that youd never tell.

As usual, the story is a bit more complicated than that.
* 610: U60 cylinder head. Then later used U67 * 710: U67 cylinder head. Then for 1977 changed to W58/N58.
They also used the L18 engine the first year or two (U20 cylinder head).

I have a 75 coupe, 76 4 door sedan, and my 77 daily, they all had n58s untill I just swapped my daily, but it may be due to a previus swap. Gotta say tho if someone swapped it they went thro alot of trouble to make em look stock. I know they where made 40 years ago and things happen, just think is odd all them are the same everything... Oh well I gots u67s in store (wich I preffer for some reasonk
