I guess in the end i didnt get the speed that i wanted out of the Z24. I did beat 2012 Mustang with 320hp V6 in the 1/8th mile. That was my last race since ive had the car to the track. Im still going to try and get down to Pacific Raceways to run the 1/4 mile. Ive just been so busy to load the car up for the drive.
Plus just like last year, I can hear my 3rdlast cylinder rod bearing going out again.
Everyone that i have talked to in the Drifting scene says to not waste your money on trying to port a bore the Z24. There is really no performance parts for the Z24. Tons for the KA motor.
The only reason i went with the Z motor was because i saw a 210 on youtube with a Z24 doing 13 sec. in the 1/4 mile.
Who know maybe thats what i can do. I hope to find out. I have no time to stuff the KA motor in this summer so i hope to give the Z motor a 1/4 mile chance.
But the KA motor is going to scream down the track at extreme speeds. The motor came out of a 240sx drift car.
I can make it work. :)

Problem is there are no performance parts for KA like superchargers or twin-carburetor manifolds. Nismo used to make a manifold but has not for many years.

But you can make it work

Dave,
You know me, I'll make my own parts. Ive made twin manifolds and plumbed superchargers on an A15 as well as the Z24 so the skies the limit!!
Estyre, Yes i'll be using the same supercharger and twin carb setup. Nitrous is a must!!!

I'v been looking and you can get many internal parts for the KA to build either a hot N/A or turbo motor. you can get 9:1 or 11:1 pistons and even stroker cranks for them. yea, there's a few less bolt on external parts like sumps and manifolds. but it's not like they're an unsupported engine in the aftermarket. you can get turbo kits for them from ebay, i'm getting one. (yes they're to suit the 240sx (s13) but they come with a whole heap of piping so you can modify it to suit whatever car you use it on)

I picked up the motor this morning. It has a front oil sump so I don't have to build another oil pan.
The thing they going faster than I expected but first I gotta rebuild it.
