Steve has never owned this car he owned the blue 1200 coupe currently on my105
So who ever told you otherwise is wrong .

With respect to the box the gears are supposedly larger using l series gears .

Cheers Andy for the plug

Maybe your confusion is with stevo1000 who is Dale Stevenson who owned the car .....
Previous history is Alan Pitt built sold to John aka BOZMAN sold to Martin aka peddler sold to dale aka stevo1000 sold to Dave aka ddave sold to the guy I bought it from

Cheers

Joe

Does the car still live or is it still totalled after the crash ?
And did the engine suffer in the accident and has it been run since ?

Interesting, alot of owners by the sounds of it and for sure there must be a Steve somewhere then maybe no Newing but some grandma in drag maybe :)

I remember the car at Calder when Dale had it and was very impressed by the craftmanship.

the car is currently getting rebuilt using lighter alloy panels , should be around the 650kg mark when finished
the engine had no damage from accident , as damage was from rear

happy to run engine on ground if you want to buy it

Yep, that is my old sports sedan.

I can vouch that it is good gear.

I bought the car off Alan Pitt. He was running it with an A12, and I bought it as a roller. I painted it yellow and put the trusty A15 and 5 speed out of my IPRA car in the Datto 1000 and went for a spin. We won a race on debut at the Under 2 litre Sport Sedan Nationals at Wakefield in 2006 I think. The little 1000 also helped me win the last Sports Sedan race at Amaroo Park in July 2007 against an outright capacity field.

Steve Newing was running an A12 1200 coupe, which I think is for sale on MY105.

The gearbox is essentially an over drive 5 speed with a close ratio gear set. The box was from my winning IPRA car and got the results listed above in the Sports Sedan....can't remember the ratios though Joe, sorry. We ran that box, as we kept breaking option 1 Datto boxes.

If you are serious, it is serious gear.
