+1 for replacing the windscreen. I am in the process of getting rid of mine, due to 32 years of sandblasting.
You dont go face first into the wind for 30+ years and not come out unscathed. Plus, the laminating technology has come a fair way since the screens were first put into the old girl, and lets be honest, if the very worst happens while you are driving a 1200, you need all the extra safety you can get.
