pedders has some golf ones in stock. 300 for a pair. does that sounds reasonable?

From memory they are about 120 each trade so that price is fair. Keep in mind you will have to sand down the paint on the raised section at the top of the insert to get them to fit, may be you should try that on the ones you have already?
Also some members that have done this conversion had to sand off the paint and also hone the strut tube to get the inserts to fit.

The shocks will not fit even if sanded, the butt of the shock doesn't even fit and it tapers down there! Lol maybe there are a few different types, I'll go see Simon at pedders and chat with him and see what we can come up with.

if they are too fat just buzz em with a flapper disc, i just had to remove some of the paint, the KYB sticker and a bit around the weld at the bottom of the insert then it fit like a champ.

Cant find the part no. but the ebay seller was "carpartsdiscount " and they are a KYB GR2 strut sold separately, the part number is on this site somewhere, you should be able to find it.
