When i was driving yesterday on the highway goin home the temp in perth was 33 degrees when i stoped to go to the shop for about 20 minutes came back to drive home the guage read just a tiny bit over half but i drove off it went back down to half whats your opinion

Normal. Half gauge is ok. Over 3/4 I start to get concerns

Mine has been doing that for ages, its really hot where I am at the moment and the temp usually sits a needles width over half.

I wouldant want it to run any hotter though.
It might be a idea to give your radiator a flush out with some fresh coolent.

That is normal.

Your 1200 owner's manual says "the engine will run satisfactorily when the pointer is at any position in the middle range."

perhaps a thermo fan and/or a bigger radiator would help this?
My temp hardly ever leaves the qtr mark...

Clean the contacts on the fuel sender and it will work ok.
