Its rough but getting there.
Was very happy that the exhaust manifold off the rx7 fitted... just... has about 3mm of clearance against the steering box. And I'm hoping the oil cooler behind the rego plate wont stand out too much but all seems to be going smoothly so far. Just wish I had more time to work on it. Also wish it was in my own shed and that I had a shed, instead of one on the other side of town. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I did my own trans tunnel a while ago and it is no easy task. I'm more than happy with it tho. What material are you using there? Looks like .8?
Nice work on slotting the engine and box in ![]() Chuck some decent plates on the gb mounts inside to spread the load out. I know what its like doing work out of someone elses shop/shed thats ages away but keep chugging away mate... Keep up the good work

Thanks mate.
Material is a little thick about 1mm I think, a friend makes aftermarket sumps and works at a truck body shop so grabbed some "semi galvanized" sheet out the bin for me and put a few bends in it to get me started. Yeah got some 50x50 washers to weld nuts to that will be tacked to the floor.

Motor is in for final time I hope.
Tunnel took way longer than expected but once painted it looked a lot better than I thought it was going to. Still need to do clutch pluming and make exhaust but almost all connections are done and its ready to turn over with some water and oil. Was very tempted to start it tonight but not sure about db levels with just a manifold on a twin rotor in a shed. Kinda spewing I didn't get it finished as I will be cutting down some 8m gums around the house next weekend and probably wont have a chance to get it finished.

Its alive...
My exhaust sounds poo, got water leak from radiator hose that's on a angle. Oil leak from copper pipe weld that wasn't hot enough and needs a tune... but it starts first time and runs with a bit of choke.
