Still waiting on a reply from Mark about alternative shipping methods but so far

1.oda70
2.fiasss
3.townie
4.ogyris
5.sikyne
6.D
7.ruredi (me of course)

So another set and we have the group discount.

Would have to make enquiries about the Import Duty Tax but sending them in sets of 2 would make postage $80-$90 making a pair $470-$480 which still isn't too bad.

We need more info on what the best specs would be to suit.

What is the general consensus in regard to ride height and spring rate?

Tramp control etc?

Surely different configurations will be needed to cater for the various body weight variations between ute/sedan/coupe/wagon shells and intended use of the vehicle eg street/drag/circuit/rally

Any ideas on what will be available?

I think the best way would be to confirm all of the stock specifications for the different vehicles and then someone with the knowledge can tell us what dimensions need to be changed to achieve what. Can someone fill in the blanks for stock specs.

Latest reply from Mark.

Hello Joey,

The springs come complete with polyurethane bushings and center isolators/pins. They are ready to install with the vehicle’s bolts.

We can pack 3 pairs to a package. The quotes I’ve gotten have varied quite a bit based on the number of parcels to be shipped together, so I’m wondering if you can final quote shipping and take shipping payment from your group at the time when you have finalized the quantity. Also, minimum weight requirements for ocean freight are keeping those quotes higher than for air freight unless the quantity goes up substantially.
Current best pricing for two parcels is $445.00. Price per parcel improves somewhat with a third package. There are a couple of quotes remaining that could be better once a quantity is finalized.

Thanks,

Oda70 do you have the exact measurements and specs of the stock springs for the ute?

210lb/in is a very high rear spring rate. I'd be double checking your info before ordering.

I read on the wiki that a stock spring rate for the 1200 was 109 lb/in in the rear - the ute would be a bit more but not much I expect.

Oda, I'm in bris, we can order them together when we hear back from Mark about costs.

It would be a question of whether a bulk shipment is more expensive than ordering in pairs to avoid the 20% import tax (plus domestic freight to door).

standard front spring rate is 89lb. and weight distribution is something like 55:45 standard. I'd be surprised if the rear spring rate was higher than the front from factory.

The Pitroad #23 TS Cup B310 Sunny race car with massive 9" rear wheels and full slicks run about 3kg (165lb/in) rear springs.

The NISMO rear spring for B310s is 125lb. You'd probably be alot better off with that sort of rate in a modified road car.
