Hi guys i have a question,my Ca18det came out off a jap import and has 60 or 90 thousand stamped on the cam gear cover. My question is would the alternator still be in good condition with those km's.Woulds it be worth getting it redone before i get it polished.

Sure, it could still be good. The antique 1200 alternators used lasted 150,000 miles before the bearings started making noise.

By the way, if you end of replacing it later, you can swap the guts into the chromed case (if you buy an exact replacement).
