120y steering help

I've got a 77 120y which I was told was all original but the tie rods don't go in to the knuckle arm , the tie rod thread is thicker than the hole in the knuckle arm, can ijust change the knuckle arm over to suit the bigger tie rod or do I have to go the other way

Sounds like you are replacing the tie-rod ends with the wrong ones ...

Its how I brought the car, its a 77 model but its like the struts in it are from an early model, can you put early 120y or 1200 drag link and steering into a later model 120y

Yes, but they are the same. Perhaps someone was trying to swap in different struts, gave up and sold it to you un-assembled?
