electric fuel pump mounting

Hey guys
Just put a electric fuel pump in my ute cause the mechanical one just shat it self i mounted it just under the battery tray its the only place where i could mounted it does anyone think its a good place as i said its the only place where i could put it

I mounted mine in the rear. Works great there.

most pumps need to be low and close to the tank, you might have to get underneath it....

I mounted mine under the car above the diff (not above diff center). Works really well.

Very Few of these aftermarket pumps are suction pull style most are Push type pumps so need to be close to the tank and down low so the Tank will Gravity feed to the pump.

You may find issues when the tank runs low in picking up Fuel and an airlock will play havoc in getting fuel with less than a quarter of a tank,Follow the leads above usually just near the back of the cabin area and down low for the normal square Facet type pump is the go.

Cheers for advice ill place it under the car another day where it is, is just a temp place cause i needed my ute back and running as it is my everyday car

I have used several kinds of electric fuel pumps, and always mounted in the engine compartment. No problems. I used a square Facet pump, a stock Datsun 720 fuel pump, and most recently an aftermarket pump.

None of these were EFI pumps, but only 3-7 psi.
