Best time i ran was 2 min 23 sec.

Modded A motor, a14 EFI Super Charged + 5 Speed.

Ute diff, with new std pedder shocks in the rear end.
Everything else is stock, front end std discs with drums on the rear, only upgrade is a harder compound rear drums and metal kings in the front so i dont get brake fade. So overall bog stock minus the motor lol.
Not a good combo.

Wish list: Slicks, 200b coilovers, konis front and rear, re-set leaves, R31 discs on the rear and bigger brakes on the front, yet to decide what...

Also have a few pics coming, but buggered if i know how to downsize them to get em on here....

you guys would of been having good fun with each other with similar lap times but pace in different parts of the track! did you generally head into the sessions in front or behind each other?

it amazes me, you guys were 10 secs behind but other were 20 secs in front of me, 30 secs difference per lap but all in 1200s, goes to show the difference the mods make to these things... especially considering you guys are no where near stock anyway!

Yes mic was great fun, we would start near eachother I list him in corners but he gained on main straight then.little rear straight right up my back side. He's a way better driver than me do he was learning from,my driving (yes it's a worry) and gained even more from my line and braking markers.

He's pretty good for 17.

oh and i was pulling about 6000 rpm, the motor is limited to 6500 rpm...

i think lap times would vastly improve with some decent handling, (also would like a 120y sway bar...) as well as that it was my first time on a track so the dick behind the wheel is another thing that could be improved!! haha

how hard where you pushing Michael?

Hey lads,
look up www.natsoft.com.au for all results.
My advice would be to get your suspension right, then brakes, and leave the slicks to the end.
My old yellow coupe did 1:59 BACK IN '09 on an average track but if you want real inspiration ......
look up Andrew Cherni's results at Island Magic on Natsoft. Now that car isda bomb!!!!!
Nothing like driving PI though eh boys

Cheers.

Had a great day at the show n shine yesterday... love love LOVE Simon's coupe.
That thing is a wicked beast.

So wish I could have had my datto down there, not that it's pretty to look at, just so there were more 1200's to even out the no's with the Zs.

The green ute with the ridiculous exhaust belongs to a bloke called Buckley, I don't think he's on here but he comes to all the jap classic days and a couple of cruises so he must frequent the other forums.

1200rallycar's coupe looked pretty nice he even got some interest from people not married to him after he opened his engine bay...

Does anyone know who owns the NSW plates white wagon with the CA?? "omg" it had the neatest engine bay. Looked mint

Alright I'm done gushing now. Really nice to catch up with all the old faces, and a few new ones

DG xx

was a great weekend, soooo many nice datsuns out there!

unfortunately i had some electrical gremlins that took the fun out of my day at the track
i only got 5 laps in (including the 3 sighting laps) before it struck trouble, best lap was a 2.02 in my sedan

160rwhp sr20de/ve with all the goodies as far as suspension & brakes go..
with my 4.88 diff i topped out right on 200kph (7600ish rpm) well before turn 1

my wish list for next time: just a trouble free day, so i can do some laps and learn the car/track

it was great to see so many having a go on the track too, there were plenty of smiles in the paddock

Missing comments while writing one :S

We had great fun Michael, was grouse, was even better having someone that was patient even to have a pain in the ass amateur following him all day (thanks Mic.)
It was good having a bit of friendly competition pushing each other etc. And yeah, i did learn a thing or two, was good having my own private guide to ease the newbie experience!

Show and shine was great, some excellent inspiration!
