Hi Guys

I went and checked my Choke It was fully open since last drive, then pushed the accelerator pedal a bit and tried it did not close and then started it ,car started but choke butterfly did not move ,i went and pulled the linkage then with a tic noise it closed ,am i missing something or anything wrong with re fixing process ? what sort of a link between throttle and choke butterfly when the engine is cold ? help me please
