If you have run a wire direct from Bat+ to coil + and tried several coils and still no spark then the problem can only be in the dizzy or dizzy drive remove the dizzy cap and turn the engine over to make sure the rotor button is turning, you may have a damaged dist drive gear[stripped tooth]also to test the coil remove the neg wire from coil attach a temp wire to coil that you can touch on a earth, remove the H/T lead from the coil fit one of your plug leads into the coil with a spark plug attached, earth the spark plug and touch the neg wire on/off on a earth you should have a good spark at the plug if coil is ok,also check the pigtail wire[wire from coil to points]I have seen them broken internally or shorting where they go into the dizzy housing
It's a process of elimination but once you hotwire the coil you eliminate all the ignition switch vehicle wiring[just ask any car thief] Russ

Rotor turns, its set to tdc on first cyl.
Tried again last night, different coils etc. nothing. Im going to try with some help tomorrow night if weather is clear (will be cold) and if no good then auto elec time. I have another dizzy coming. I hope the modules are replaceable in series 2 blue bird distributors

Good Point, It may be the bosch module in the series II dizzy. The module in mine died from the excess heat in the engine bay fire. Can be had very cheap on ebay. search "BIM024" ignition module. Always handy to have a spare one in the glove box anyway.

hey unfamilia
You most likely have a burnt out resistor if no spark from the coil meaning the circuit is remaining open.Try changing the resistor and see how you go.the white part near coil. Also took pics of a friends gx stanza auto. check if your wires to resistor etc are connected correctly too. I can take pics of other stuff like fuse box etc to compare to yours cheers

and if u did hardwire "properly" from coil to battery then most likely the points in the dizzy are gone..as already stated prob will be dizzy.
