Gday
Just thinking of doing a carby supercharger setup on my a15 with a 32/36 weber and a sc12 charger really need some power on acceleration really need little bit of advice on these friend of mine had this and had a problem with it kept pinging and had a flat spot
Any info on this setup will be much appriciated

Pinging is a result of the timing, or lack of. And the flat spot is carburettor adjustment. Fine tune those two aspects and you're good to go.

They are the two most important ingredients when trying to make optimum horsepower.

1. Do not remove the vacuum advance. It will not interfere with a supercharger, but more importantly will serve to hold the advance plate fastened.

2. Reduce the overall timing. Easiest way to do this is to set static (idle) timing to 0-4 degrees, which will reduce high RPM timing to ~25-29 degrees. Further tuning involves modifying the advance weight slots inside the distributor.

pinging could be too much compression more likely...
and I hear the DGAV can have a hard to find lean spot with a blower...

I have the sc12 (well my old man... Lol, but I claim it :P) and injection on the a14 in a coupe, that thing hammers!

You can also go twin screw more efficient and extra using less capacity

heres a setup i have ,a little amr-300 pumps 11 lbs with 350 holley.custom inlet/exhaust.works great.simple.thinking of selling it.
