First off i have the Round Gauges..

i have a weird issue my Dash lights or driving lights/lamps them selves are not working..

My High beam, oil, chrg, hand brake and other gauges all work correctly...i.e chrg and oil light will light up at ign and then turn off when started.. handbrake light goes off when taken down..

but the illumination light/lamp for the driving or night lights for the speedo and the tacho will no illuminate

I have pulled out each plugin and tested them all, globes are working and have changed them around into the different holes to see if the connection will make a difference still same thing..

i have checked the Headlight pull button and my headlights work fine low and high beam but does not turn on the dash lights....
Do i need to do something else with the headlight section and some cable needs to be connected to the Dash cluster???

In some Japanese cars the dash lights wont work if the tail lights are not functioning, not sure with a Datto though. Check they ALL work first then trouble shoot.

If you have swapped the gauges the wiring might not be the same even if the main wiring connector fits. Might need someone with more knowledge than me for this.

Logically speaking you have earth to the cluster because you have the other lights and warnings working.

So it's just when you turn your headlights on that you get no dash illumination?

You can dim the dash lights by twisting the headlight switch, not sure if this the problem but it might be worth checking.

There is no special wire for dash lights. It is part of the big round connector, and is the same for sedan/coupe/ute.

So perhaps a wire has broken in the harness. Or more likely the headlight switch may be defective. Test it.
