Todays job. Cut Auto tunnel out of old Coupe sticking to the original seam, except near seat rails of course as Auto tunnel actually goes back past the seat rails, and 1/3rd the way into rear floor. Then cleaned off remaining bit of floor pan and firewall by carefully grinding the spot welds down, then flapper disc on grinder. Cleaned off 40ish years of grease and dirt on under side. Now to remove old mounts and linkage guide thingy and then on to other side removing old tar and crap so we have a nice clean slate to fit to ute.
P.S I've changed me mind goin L series in wagon and CA and stumpy in Ute now.

keep the mounts to reweld back on later. Gives a nice factory finish to the x member location for gear box.
Engineer liked it on mine.

Kept the old stock mounts and welded in solid spacers to make them longer, but each to his/her own

Well done a fair bit. Cut out old tunnel tech screwed auto tunnel in place to draw around it removed and trimmed out more of the old floor and tunnel with about an inch overlap left screwed auto tunnel back in tacked in. Made and fitted a bracket to go behind brake master and for clutch master to go in (similar to maddat one). Modified and fitted R31 pump set up to a spare ute tank also fitted a baffle inside, which i removed from a modded sedan tank i got a while back. Getting there pics to come tomorrow motor in at present so i can fit up radiator.

CA18DE and stumpy box in and running, all good so far. Pics to come. Just on to building another set of 1200 coupe struts with supafatto coilover kit then just swap them in keeping the s13 setup on them of course. Goes nicely driving in the wet a bit hard to keep the traction and also to behave myself. Being a 40 year old man and all

Next Turbo and hopefully in the new year get me R31 diff back ( more so before i pop the H165). Then a lick of matt white 2k paint and off to engineers.
