A14 crank is good choice just need late a12a conrods, I think DDGonzales can help there. You build can take a slightly cleaned up H89 that already has the bigger valves installed. Also if you want an already setup race head that is shaved for comp but still has plenty of life left contact PJZ or Peter Zeckert he has GX and H89 heads already with big valves, quality springs and retainers from alloy to titanium all for under 800 usd.

A14 head fits on early A12 BUT will destroy itself in short order unless a simple modification is done.

H89 head on late a12?WHAT do you have to do to make it work properly?

Maybe i could build over my a12 and put it back in my sedan down the road.

Yes, but rare. I have an H89 and so do some other guys over here. But they were not used in any North American-spec Datsun.
