i heard somewhere that if i were to remove the stock springs in my ute and replace them with sedan leaf springs , i would get a better ride? does anyone know if this is true??

I wouldn't be able to say for sure but the ute springs imo would be stiffer than the sedan springs. Therefore if your willing to sacrifice load-carrying ability for drive-ability then the softer spring should handle a bit better.

I do a leaf spring treatment that greatly improves ride and traction.
The leaves are separated, media blasted then treated with Graphite, Molybdenum disulphide, and PTFE. This greatly reduces friction between the leaves, improving ride and handling.

It costs $150. to get them done tho.

Definately better off in the ute with the sedan/coupe springs or at least removing the additional load spring

ute springs are designed for 500kG pay load so are way too stiff without a load in the tray

check the wiki for the exact spring rate diffferences

thanks, the most i would carry is 100kg roughly , that sounds like a good idea sikyne , i already have a set of sedan springs though, thanks heaps
