An A13 from North America is a factory de-stroked A14. Same rods as A14, but with an A12 crankshaft.

An A13 from Asia is an A12 with 2mm larger pistons.

DD, slight correction:

The factory North American A13 is 73mm bore x 77mm stroke. It was a factory tall block (like an A14/15 block), but with the 73mm piston bore of an A12. It had the longer (A14 length) 133mm rods, but the piston pin was 17.4mm, like the A12. Crankshaft was 77mm stroke, same as an A14. Here in the US it was only available one year, 1974.

In North America racing, we would make our own "Frankenstein" Non-factory 1300cc. We used an A14 block, an A12 crank, long rods (133-145mm) and either 76 or 77mm pistons.

I've raced both of these.

We also had a 1237cc engine with an A12 crank, and a later style A12A block here in North America. (1979-1980??) It was 75mm bore (+2mm over the A12). Peter

Not as much HP or torque as an A14, and don't rev any higher. But more torque than an A12. What do you think that is worth?
