aftermarket sway bar link assembly too tall?

I bought a set of these off eBay
I was told they would fit a 1200 but they seem about an 1" taller than the stock sway bar links. I don't think this will work well as it might change the geometry of the sway bar? Anyone run into this issue as well?

easily fixed - cut down the sleeve to suit, and use a shorter bolt if neccesary.

I think the discrepancy is in the sleeve. I think you are right though Harry. If I cut down the sleeve to match the standard height it should be okay. Good thinking.

After further examination it is not the sleeve.
It appears the bushings are too big? Am I being too paranoid?

Next question - Which way is up on the sway bar?

sway bar bushings. make sure the bar is tight in the brackets. Replace the bushings as necessary. Also, make sure the side of the bar with factory white paint mark is installed on the left side of the vehicle Oops. I painted my sway bar and don't know which way to put it now?

I think I know what you mean but not 100% sure. Whats your opinion on the new link bars, yay or nay? I could just use the bushings on the stock link bar too?
