hi so i was checking my valve clearances out today and noticed an possible issue which could be causing blowby from my rocker cover at high rpm

the stem seals seem to not be seating on the guides but are on the top of the valve stem and sort of stuck in the inner valve spring.

not sure if this could be causing my blowby issue?

any thoughts?

Thanks!

Could be a contributor, but fix it soon in case the springs chew the seals and the fragments make their way into you oil circuit.

It's hard to gauge how much blow by there is.......

Seems to me that cannot cause blowby, as they are oil seals, not compressive gas seals. It can certainly cause excessive oil consumption.

What type of seal? The metal with spring or rubber umbrella type? The umbrella seals tend to do this. The other style are great but care needs to be taken with aftermarket valve springs as on high lift cams it's possible to bottom on the seals.
