Just curious if anyone here has experience with pallet racks.

I came across this pic and wondrred how hard would it be to get a 2.4 high rack 2nd hand 4 rails to use with a block and tackle for datsun and possibly ford 6 cyl engine removal?

My engine crane piston has pretty much met its end so something like this gantry appeals more to my needs.

Typically called Dexion racking. Dexion are a manufacturer.

I think it would be ideal, but keep it well grounded. Some people buy the racking in lots from auctions or liquidation sales, they convert them into the above and all sorts of other things like work benches etc etc.

The concept is simple, it's like an overhead crane, but stationary. The weight ratings per platform are quite high so ample beef to carry the engines etc, just watch that it doesn't topple over.......
