And how much power are you chasing? I'd be hoping for mid 200s on e85 before the disco potato will run out of steam. Hopefully

thats actually pretty good advice (yeah im suprised too)

the power to weight of a 1200 even with a stock ca turbo is going to be fast on the track
its always good to learn & setup the car before adding the extra hp

Best place for the handling side is a place called Redline performance from the old days of my track rx3 and r100 which where horrible handling cars to start with. Also try the most successful datsun racing person in Australian history, Steve Newing at Steve Newing Technology. He can look at your car and tell you straight up what it needs even free advice as he loves 1200s, 1000s and stanzas.
I would go to Steve then Redline cant go wrong with them.

forgot whats your turbo Nick?

Ok well the idea was to put in the 550cc purple top injectors I had from an rx7 but it seems they are not liking the nistune/ca18 setup we thought they may have been hi impedance but once testing they are low impedance, I have 6 injectors that just weren't acting right, so the decision has just been made as Dave my tuner has some 1200cc in stock so these will now be fitted, so it will now be tuned on 98ron with a turbo upgrade to happen once the car is setup and tested on the track, once this is completed there will be a new turbo (unknown which at this stage) and then the move to e85. Now the car is all setup for e85 but no point running e85 until turbo upgrade as I'm only running a t28bb s15 import turbo and will be at the top end of power with this turbo fitted!
All sorted now but I'm going to have to clear out a whole grape of parts now to pay for all the extra work on my car as it wasn't so simple as tune and go!!
So current specs are
Ca18det
416 e85 pump
1200cc injectors
T28bb
Z32 afm
Twin 8mm fuel lines
Blitz sequential boost controller
Custom dash
Nistune ecu to suit

so has it been tuned with the t28bb? thats a good turbo to be playing with well suited for track work, the ca18det and maximising your midrange torque or area under the curve. Perseverance in tuning using this turbo would be better than chasing big hp with bigger turbo or sudden exponentially peaks with little bottom and midrange.

Some update, got some b510 fender mirrors to fit on the coupe, got some door trims made by trimmer to fit (cheers trimmer) got some shorter springs and some RCA spacers to fit from t3, got some stuff to cover the top of my dash. Bought a car trailer nothing flash but it will get the coupe around (thanks rallycar) hope to be picking the car up from dmdtuning this weekend all tuned on e85. Have a few things to check, fix and fit.
