A15 Engine rebuilt - need Remote oil filter to solve issues

Hi Guys,

Recently had my A15 rebuilt. After spending $3000 i wanna get this thing back in and going asap! I need a remote oil filter kit .... does anyone have one or know where i can get one?

Unfortunately it has a leak from the oil pump and from the rear seal which i gotta get fixed and i'm currently pulling it all out of my Austin Healey again. Pain in the ass.

If anyone has a kit, please let me know asap...

Hi Luke,

Good question. Ford type fits the Datsun. The sandwich plates are available from racing supply companies like Earle's, Summit Racing, etc -- e.g. Transdapt Oil Sandwich Adapter #1313 for Fords and others with 13/16x16 thread.

thanks mate.. i'll go to some shops next week and see if i can source something ford that fits the datsun filter.

Here is a picture of the engine back in the car.

Mk1 Austin Healey 1959 model w/ A15 & datto 4 speed.

More than likely you are trying to post a picture that is to large of a format. When you try to post, it will give you an error. Read the error. Reduce the size to what the website is asking.

yeah mate .. did all that. Less than 200k, ( 125k ) ... png, also tried jpg, ... just doesn't work. Forum broken.

Hi, i also have a sprite with an A14 engine...
i thought i would need a remote filter also, but managed to find a smaller std filter from a Toyota that fit. see photo of the filters, the one on the right is the standard size, then the nissan reduced size one , then on the left is the Toyota one, it fits just nicely, photo of the box showing part number also attached. also a shot of my installation, it fits just nicely.
