Nope im not sure- im 10,000kms away. Dd is half way round the world.
if in doubt seek professional assistance but you say starts and drives fine with a jump. So I suspect battery is old and low on cranking amps. Get a higher cranking battery.
If thrres other carb issues????

Also needs more cranking amps to spin it.
I always thought the starters were the same.

About a half dozen different starters.

Auto starters are more powerful but run slower

Early starters are not as strong as later

A15 & A12 sunny use the same starter.

My thinking was if the carb was getting a bit iffy the air/fuel mix in cold weather wont be right, thus the difficult/no starting.

The a/f ratio is never right when cold, but either the choke or pumping excess fuel will make it close enough to start.

If it starts quickly when jump-started, you need a new battery. I have seen that many times.

even so the choke/pumping technique should do it, even at times when the cranking was reasonably strong

It will always start faster after an Engine Tune-up
