Smarise,
See if you can get someone to make a custom manifold to suit.Cheaper to get a steel one made as compared to cast alloy etc.Was quite surprised how well steel manifolds performed in rally events.

Measure thickness of your existing manifold flange

Use measurements of pipe diameter from l series manifold. You want to blend size in to inlet ports on head. Use which ever you think wont corrode internally or externally.

hey mate, unless u leave in an area where its very very hot (desert) only then can sometimes the fuel vapourise enroute from the carbs as the steel retains more heat than cast alloy.
Steel manifolds were being used on road n rally in the coast where weather was 40-42 degrees with NO issues.and rally in africa isn't forgiving.
when making the manifold make sure ur flanges are thick on both the carbs end and also the engine to avoid warping/bending.also research if you want long or short runners manifold.
ive included an example of my brothers ke20 corolla intake manifold.could send more close up pics if you need mate.
cheers

Hey mate, just posted some quotes from around the web
"short runners on the intake manifold produce high end horsepower, where as long runners provide low end torque"
"Longer runners give you peak torque a lower/mid RPMs. Short runners are for high RPM race engines. For a street car the longer set up may be better for drivability."
please correct me if the info is wrong forum members.
hope that helps mate
