Hey guys pretty desperate to get the dat datnon the road asbim without a car at the moment. Someone screwed the wrong bolt in my brake line splitter to shut of the back brakes so now I need a new one. There arnt too many 1200's around here but there is a 1000. So I was wondering if it was the same splitter. I have a feeling its a coupe so will i have to grab the master, short lines between master and splitter and the splitter its self? Is there something else that may fit? Also is there anything interchangeable between the drums on a 1200 and a 1000?

Any Datsun metric splitter should work from say 1968 up.

if you are fitting disc, then you need master cylinder and splitter (that has spring and valve to close off one circuit if one is leaking). also need to make up some new front lines.

raid a late model ute or 120y for the parts. 120 master has a different pushrod that attaches to brake pedal, and you cant use the single circuit drum brake one. 120y brake pushrod can be shortened but you may need to cut more thread on the shaft to give enough adjustment.

The back brakes of a 1200 use this splitter:
46313-18000 CONNECTOR-3WAY REAR

As you can see that is a Datsun 1000 part number (Applied Model Code 180).

See Brake Lines

All 1200s use the same rear brakes splitter

For the front splitter, drum and disc 1200 use the same. But single master cylinder and dual master cylinder use different splitters.

For safety's sake, don't fit a single master cylinder to your 1200. Drums will work with a dual master.
