Hi Guys
Any body can give a clue ?
I have FN Type Alternator

According to TechWiki

White and Red Stripe-:Dash CHG Bulb
White and Black Stripe -:Field on Alternator
White -: Alternator A terminal
White and Green -: Ignition 12v
Black :- Earth

I don't have Yellow Color wire here there are only 5 Wires
so where is the Neutral Wire :- ?

thanks

Hi Sumith,

That regulator is not designed for Nissan FN type alternator as used by the 1200 engine.

You are a pioneer in testing.

The FN connector N wire attaches to the N connector on the Nissan alternator. In the Datsun 1200 engine room wiring harness, this is connected to the Regulator "N" terminal.

If the New Era regulator does not have an "N" terminal, what should you do? I do not know.

I can't be of specific help but I fitted a Silvia alternator to my 1200. What I did was:
1-Find out what colours on the alternator were what
2-Figure out where they had to go
3-Figure out how to wire that into the loom with minimal modifications

I think mostly I followed the tech wiki on converting to an internal reg alternator and worked with the wiring diagrams.

In general a modern alternator has a charge light lead (should be small) a voltage sense lead (also small) and connection to the battery. The voltage sense can go anywhere really, some people hook it up to the alternator output, I hooked it into the engine +ve wiring. I can't remember exactly what I did now so it should be fun if I ever need to fix it

Hi DD

thanks,it was just a similar one that i used, any way my old one is usable yet,i bought new one because i rebuilt the car ,after worrying about it few days , i suddenly woke up with a dream i have missed one connection from wiring loom , i think that will sort my issue, any way i will come back with regulator images back in case of a trouble,

My Voltage Regulator Just similar like this but wire colors are differ, and also has the Bypass blue color wire also

Hi Guys

After a further Analysis i have found it should work, because what i am having is a slimier one with 5 pin connectors wire colors are little different.i had an issue with my supply to regulator, pulled out the whole wiring matched the factory specified color matching, after market tail light and voltage meter also not bad,Fixed the tail light and is working fine have to fix Reverse and Brake padel connection more

I am annoyed about NEWERA people they never reply my mail on color issue

Here it goes boys

White with Coupled Blue Wire

White---A(Alternator
Blue----12+
White & Red Stripe ---Dash
White and Blue Stripe --F
White and Green Stripe ---N
Black---Earth

don't consider this is exact correct Let me confirm this in the future after testing it back by running the car, ideas are welcome

thanks

sumith

Hi Guys

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nos-Isuzu-12v ... ts_SM&hash=item3a7c6c0a9d

This is the Voltage Regulator that i have bought by mistakenly it doesn't have yellow color wire which is going to dash, are these regulators without dash indicators, if missing wire is Neutral i can simply connect that to Body Ground it ,

thanks
