OK my windshield weatherstrip is beat and the windshield place doesn't want to put a new one in without it citing liability issue ( it's a race car dork)......anyway I have found them Datsunlandsocal has them albeit the ones from Thailand. New-Datsun-Parts has them but looks like Ute only (listing says all but that can be right). More available from Bprojects and some places in Aus but I am trying to make an event in two weeks.

Yes ute. Because there are still a lot of them in japan. It also fit sedan.

The Thai ones are supposed to be good.

Dave I should clarify; the listing says fits coupe, sedan & ute..........sedan and ute yes but the same one won't fit a coupe..........correct?

I was wondering about that. Nissan sold different seal for the Coupe windshield, but maybe the difference is small enough so it doesn't matter. Coupe windshield is about 1/4" shorter.

The difference is significant. due to the coupe windscreen being laid back further when compared to the sedan/ute/wagon. the screen is physically taller shorter. The windsheild rubber has longer shorter sides. Cutting outt he extra length may be an option. sharp knife and rubber type superglue.

Edit. Yep stand corrected. The coupe screen is shorter. Just measured my car in the shed. 20.5 in top to bottom. Therefore Tom should be able to use the sedan/ ute/ wagon weatherstrip and shorten it to suit.

I knew one screen was longer than the other, just forgot which one....

Tom - I couldn't find OEM front & rear glass gaskets when I painted the coupe, so I took a gamble and sourced them from Thailand. The front fit, but the rear was so far off as to be pointless. I laid the rear glass in on the pinch weld with a bead of black silicone then filled in the gaps after it had set in place. The front went in OK, but the material is c**p. Even though the car is garaged, the corners have dried out and cracked very badly, like it was sitting in L.A. smog in a Pico Rivera backyard for 22 years. I'll fill in the cracks and gaps with black silicone, but for the price, the Q.C. just ain't there. I did see an OEM gasket a couple of days ago on fleabay, but it was in the $200 asking range.

Thai gaskets vary in quality, from very good to very poor. The ones Datsunlandsocal sell ... I'll let you search for reviews on it. The ones on ebay have seller reviews in place.

If you use 3M brand automotive window silicone, you won't have any problems, even after 20 years.

I've never measured the coupe glass personally, but I've been told:
* Coupe differs from all others (20.5 inches ~52.1 cm top to bottom)
* Truck reportedly same as sedan (53cm top to bottom)

A guy sent me these photos of a windshield he fitted to his ute
corners differed

height was shorter

Although my sedan & ute glass were the same height

Nissan list a coupe W/S gaskets as 72610-H1801 but, supersedes to 72610-H1001 which is Sedan W/S gasket part number. I bought front W/S gasket from Scott's Old Rubber 5 years ago. It fit perfect, has NOT shrunk, split, bled or leaked- it's quite nice!
