I've narrowed it down to 2 choices both being R35 GTR colours. Would love your opinions. Good or bad.

First is Titanium Metallic / Titanium Gray #KAC

Next is Gunmetal Metallic / Dark Metal Gray #KAD

So easily swayed ...

At least I've still chosen a similar shade.

I think I'll try and get a colour similar to the Hatosuka C10 Silver/Grey.

Althought the titanium looks awesome, I agree it might make the car look odd.

Hey im almost 16 now mik ,
Ha your Mexican dattos are mostly pink from all the unpainted bog smeared across all the panels.
Imo A or L series Keep it Simple then it will always be in fashion white , mustard , red , brown , yellow, orange , light blue , and Easy to repair/match if ever damaged.
If its been retro fitted with a ca, sr then a modern metallic colour can sometimes work but they still look gay as Mik going to work on his cyclops in his lycra cycling gear.
But If i really was to go modern colour the Hyundai velstor had sweet matte grey/titanium that looks tough as , or be different , BMW has a nice deep metallic chocolate brown colour that would possibly suit a real straight 1200 with nice chrome touches , Kia has a similar colour too. Or the ol faithful Lexus/Toyota pearl white looks good on anything.
Most of my favourite 1200s I've seen (over my 15 years :p) are just a plain ol stock white...Timeless
Mine is a sweet silver but i wish it wasnt , it needs the front quarter repaired, Its hard to find a decent painter that has the skills to match properly or i need the whole car sprayed for it to look 100% again which becomes expensive. If it was just a simple white i would think it would be much easier for the average painter to match n blend.

I love metallic finishes and translucent paint but as you said they are terribly hard to colour match if you need a repair.

I notice you didn't mention GREEN ... it's not easy being green
