Got confused looking at different diagrams in tech wiki. My apologies.

So are there 6 or 7 in total with the one on the head? Tech Wiki says there are 7 which has thrown me.

Hey guys,

The ute has collected a lot of dust since my last post. Planning on getting things moving again early next year.

I have just picked up a NOS Toyota T50 3T 5 Speed Gearbox. Pretty happy.

I'm now entertaining the idea of using forged rods and pistons since they are getting pretty cheap now.

The forged rods are $300 and come with ARP2000 bolts which saves me $60 having to buy the bolts to fit the standard rods plus the machining costs to get them modified so I may as well. Only thing is they suggest a 76mm bore. I was only planning to go out to 74mm. Not sure which way I will go yet.

JE make fully custom forged pistons for around the $600 mark. Not sure what specs I would build them to. Possibly just get them done identical to oversize OEM flat tops?

Cheers for the tip man. Unfortunately I don't have a compressor or a seal pick etc. Cost to get the done pro is not really that much. $60 odd bucks.
