We have ignition! It runs... Now have to clean up the mess in the room so it can be tuned. I'll report back later today. This is only NA atm, so not expecting big things..

I know no one should expect big figures but perhaps improved torque area under the curve yet still will be interesting to compare this little A12 efi mule vs the bigger factory EFI engines. Simon is compression around 8.5 or 9:1 or higher?

eg.
92 PS @ 6000 rpm
A14E - 11.7 kgm @ 3600 rpm (85 ft lb)
A15E - 12.3 kgm @ 3600 rpm (89 ft lb)
Compression Ratio: 9.0
Regular unleaded gasoline

very exciting thread!

Very encouraging results so far! 28.9 Kw atw. up from 21. Exactly the same engine, manifolds and exhaust. I can also get it to idle smoothly as low as 350 rpm too!! Love it.

Its now got 30 deg of ign to 4800 then 32 from 4800 up.

I still have to do all the cruise mixtures. Normally i'd start there. but couldnt wait to see what it would make!

The comp ratio is whatever they came out with. 8.5:1 I think? This is just a SH stocky that Leigh put in some time back.

Excellent. crack 30kw na. You know you want to.
Will all elec work with 350 rpm idle or does It draw to much power

I was just playing with the idle speed to see how low I could get it to idle.

There was a few questions regarding how well some ideas would work. Mostly using only one large injector and the motorbike sprocket with the Hyundai speed sensor in the distributor. Both have checked out well.. The timing is very stable from idle to high rpm and it idles well with the large single injector.

Dyno Graph showing the engine with the standard carb and no air filter V the Hyundai TB in its place with programmable IGN.

The Dyno rpm (bottom axis) is multiplied by the diff ratio(3.9) to get engine RPM.

The axel torque is divided by 3.9 to get engine torque.

Care to pm or email me a price on a kit? I have a supercharger I am going to fit and I think this will be an easier option for fuel and ignition.

Nice midrange gain. That's where it's most helpful.
I'm guessing lag wagon jnr would feel alive now with an extra 7kw
