sorry bobs1200 im just adding another question here....

Just wondering regarding what parts can you re-use from A12 in doing the A14 conversion
is the flywheel, clutch, starter, alternator the same?

Hi Razor...

All of those parts are interchangeable. I just replaced the A12 in my 120Y with an A14 and carried all of those things over. Especially the flywheel as it is significantly lighter than the 14's, thus giving you a more responsive engine.

The good news is that you do not have to modify the motor mounts or towers. You only need a flat plate with a couple drilled holes.

what i did was use the engine mount that is bolted to the passenger side (aus) from the a12 and put it on the A14 and it all bolted up fine.
i think thats what my mate did in his 1200 ute

The original engine mounts are pretty wobbly for the A-series engines. Are there any mounts available that were made of denser rubber? What do rally cars use?
