Having a slight chance of heart with the wagon and thinking about going l series over the z18. If I go the z I'll eventually have 2 cars the same and over time could see myself getting bored. If I go l series it will be different and something I haven't done before but will ultimately cost me more to do. Which was would you go haha?

I'd fit a stock L18 or L20B in it. You already have a turbo car, so this would be different and won't cost much money.

If its a cruiser l20b for torque stu lugging all that family stuff.
If you want a bit more of a rev l
18.
If you have the z18 just use it. One set of spare parts between 2 cars. Perfect

In the long run z18et is going to be easiest and cheapest option as I have everything there just got a need to try something different as the sedan is z18et as well. I did spy duel webber flanged manifolds for z16/18/22ect on ebay maybe a n/a z biuld could be on the cards haha.

fun times ahead. Are you going for 8500 RPM? A15 can achieve that no problem.

are you going to engineer for bigger motor, turbo or doing a sneaky A14
eg. NA A12 with A14 crank, 76mm pistons?
