I would like to know What is better bike carbies to put on A14 I have big cam and
I think it would go well with the four carbs What are the best?

Some 36 or 38 mm bike carbs will be fine.
If you are using cv ones the large cam can play around with the starting like sus. They need vacuum and manifold pressure

36 mm is the throttle size (Stock A14T throttles are 38 mm). See our tech article Bike Carbs. Mikuni 34s seem to be ideal for round 100 hp.

Mikuni BS are CV carbies, for maximum power. What are the specs of your camshaft?

Be careful with a lot of the Internet research. It's half truths.

My list of what's vital is:

Mount carbies at same or close to angle as the were on bike. Side mount or down Draught

Get a wide band o2 Guage for tuning

Get the carb factory manual and clean them and learn which jet is which.

Then it's similar to tuning a carb but you have to do it 4 times.

Do a google search on factorypro flat slide carbs; this is specific to FCR flat slide carbs but it will give you a good idea of how bike carbs work.
I have been running the FCR carbs on my coupe for several years now and am very happy with them. I feel they offer an advantage over the traditional weber DCOEs, especially,on a track only car like mine.

1. Flat-slide carburetors do not need a venturi restriction, as do CV (including SU-style) carbies, so they can make more HP similar to racing fuel injection setups.

2. Because they are not dependent on vacuum they can idle much better with high-duration (high RPM) camshafts.


That being said, bike carbs with venturis make some big HP too (32mm BS32 makes a lot more power than 38mm SUs).

Matsuoka/Mikuni MSR use the same sliding throttle valve design as Kiehin FCR but are about $1000 US cheaper. But when buying used bike carbs price is not such a big difference. If you're buying new the MSRs may be the way to go.
