Hi friends,

Received Matsuoka over-fenders on friday.
These are the bubble style fender extensions.
One question, how do I have to install these at the rear?
I never done this before!
I put them on the rear fender with tape and it looks like the rear fenders have to be cut out by about 4cm at least.
What will happen to the inner fender, also called wheel housing? There will be a open space along the cutting line.

from what i've been told you need to weld the two skins back together where you cut it, to seal it again, any pics of these flares available???

Hello Simon,

here is a picture of the
fender flares

They are build in Japan, by
matsuoka
Parts are cheap, but shipping is expensive.

Please fill out your avatar, so everyone will see where you are from in Holland.
I'm from Eupen, close to Maastricht, but closer to Vaals.

Hy. About the Matsuoka site, is there an English page (or Spanish, or Italian, which I can use too) in order to comunicate with this guys?
Also, the overfender flares, are those universal? or made specially for specific cars? (i.e. 1200, B210, 710, 610, etc).
About the process of welding the inner wheel well(wheel tub) to the larger side panel/fender area wheel opening after cutting the side panel/fender opening in case the cut is needed/necesary...(some overfender flares just bolt on, no need to cut, give horizontal coverage over tire, unless the need for a larger opening is needed, as with bigger or wider tires plus lowering suspension)... is there any photos or site that shows this process done?
If cutting the wheel well opening to a size larger than the area the wheel tub meets the side panel wall, there will be a separation, the inner tub will be exposed, and the wheel opening will be higher than the tub, so, in this case, is the tub just bend to meet the higher cut of the side panel? Just need to visualize, it is easier said than viewed/imagined.
In the case of this fender flares, I do not know if the intention is to cut the wheel well opening(needed for clearance if tire needs space)...or perhaps there is no need to cut, the tireS fit oK, flares just needed for horizontal cover of the sticking out tires. There is a possibility that , if a cut is not needed, you could install bolt on overfender flares. The ones you got could not be made specifically for your car, making them too big, hence forcing you to cut the outer wheel opening. If you do not need to cut, do not do it, just get the proper overfender size, or cut it in half, remove a section of it, and make it fit over your stock opening.

Any pictures of your European Datsun?

As far as I know, these are over fenders made especially for the B110. There is even a point at the front over fender where the wide is reduced to accept the front bumper.

As my B110 is going to run a SR20DET, it will reveive a Ford Capri rear axle. Much easier to get over here. Much more competition parts over here too.

Capri axle is a bit wider, car will be lowered, so I suppose I have to cut the rear fender to have more wheel & tire clearence.
