We need a full set of lifters and push rods for the above engine.

Must be straight and in good condition. They will be going into a very strong little 1200 race car and we will nitride them so are after quality items

While the lifters & pushrods for these two engines should be interchangeable, the cams are not. The 1200 engine [up to '73] had the distributor at the front, while the 120Y [from '74] had the distributor near No. 3 cylinder. The cam for this later engine had an extra drive gear [worm?] & the fuel pump eccentric is also diferently placed.

Yes thanks Dodgeman - we are aware of the difference between the two camshafts. We advertised a race cam yesterday for a 1200. We now have a 120Y block and that doesn't fit it.
However, the parts listing shows the lifters and pushrods as the same items.
As for the fuel pump - we have blocked the hole and are running an electrical after market pump. Distributor is also a heavily modded unit, but spins from the 120Y cam.
BTW the listings for all the bearings are the same right through from 1200 to 1500 engines

Interestingly, if one runs an electric pump, i believe that the late cam will work in the early block. The rear gear drive & fuel pump eccentric would not be used, & the front gear drive is the same for both.

If replacement cam billets were made with two fuel pump eccentrics, i suspect that the late [double gear drive] cam could be serviced for ALL "A" series Datsun motors.
