Tboe0 - You can make some pretty awesome shapes out of mdf with the right tools. I've seen some centre consoles made entirely from mdf and once they're painted/wrapped they look better than most stock items. Google stack fab woodworking. You'll need a decent router tho

Be prepared to look for a while. I waited a couple of years before one came up on here and we had to auction it off since a few people wanted it. They go on Yahoo auctions more often, but they go for about $250 on there last time I looked.
