Error code is p1298. Because this is the only code I will start with the outputs. Plug packs and injectors.
My scan meter only works when the motor ls running so this maybe a hot job.
I have already looked at the page your link goes to. The sumps are 45000 yen. About $550 au. There does not seem to be a link to buy the thing.
Moroso make a weld in baffle plate with hinged gates for $150 us. Might go that way.
I've heard of Moroso for after market parts. Are they an American company?
Thanks Geoff.

Yes, Moroso is a famous american hot-rod company
P1298 is a Honda-specific code, "Electric Load Detector Circuit High Voltage". The Honda Electric Load Detector (ELD) is related to charging of the alternator
There are many causes for this code, but it can also be caused by connection issues (slight corrosion) or a blown fuse

Howdy,
If you would like to see how the Blue Bastard goes I have uploaded a video of a circuit sprint at Mallala to youtube. if you type into youtube,
"Datsun 1200 Mallala MSCA circuit sprint"
you should go straight to it.
Just remember overtaking under brakes is not allowed.
Cheers Geoff

Thanks Guys.
Hi Bob, My first 1200 coupe with the FJ20 in it did 1:24 with the 13" x 7" rims fitted with slicks (second hand F3 fronts) The FJ20 was 109kw at the wheels.
The Blue Bastard does 1:21 with 15" x 8" rims fitted with Toyo 888's (225 wide) Honda say the F20C is 184kw output. Not sure power at the wheels as it has not been on a dyno. The IRS and big brakes also makes a huge difference.
The first Coupe was better value for money. The blue bastard is way more fun.
I believe the FJ20 has gone? What is powering your coupe these days?
Cheers, Geoff
